Exercise Physiology focuses on identifying the source of your pain or weakness and addressing it through targeted exercises. Our Exercise Physiologist will show teach you the correct exercise techniques, explain their benefits and progress them as you improve.

Exercise Physiology Treatment Process
In your Initial Consultation, our Exercise Physiologist will ask you questions and conduct tests to assess your condition and determine a treatment plan.
Generally your next appointment will be in 1 to 3 weeks.
Once you are functioning well, the Exercise Physiologist will limit the frequency of your sessions.
45 minute consultation
This appointment may include:
- Reviewing your medical history
- Discussing your condition
- Muscle testing
- Neuro testing
- Exercise delivery
30-45 minute consultation
This appointment may include:
- Discussion on progressions
- Further testing
- Delivery of exercises and stretching techniques
- Proprioceptive exercises
- Education on condition and exercise benefits
Can I claim this through private health?
Yes, you may be able to claim for Exercise Physiology depending on your private health cover. We have a HICAPS machine on site.
How often do I need to have a session?
The time between your appointments will depend on the severity of the condition. They can range from every 1-3 weeks. As your function improves, your sessions will become less frequent. The Exercise Physiologist may want to do a review appointment a few months after your final session to ensure you’re progressing and haven’t had any other problems with your recovery. They will advise you about this.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
We understand that things happen that may stop you from attending your scheduled session. If you need to cancel we require 24 hours’ notice. To avoid paying a cancellation fee, we require you to reschedule the new appointment within 24 hours either side of your original appointment.
